An ambitious and immersive multi-angle and 360° HTML5 video experience for web and touchscreen kiosk for the Royal Opera House that places users right in the orchestra pit during a rehearsal.

Delivered as a standalone web app or hybrid Mac OS X application for touchscreen kisoks, the experience was built with WebGL, Marionette.js and the YouTube Player API and utilised node-webkit/NW.js for the kiosk app’s native wrapper.

Launched live in front of the national press at the ROH’s 2016/2017 season announcement, the project has received strong critical acclaim. Classical Music Reimagined called it one of the most ambitious uses of immersive tech [they’d] seen yet from a classical music organisation.
